Event registrations for Good Beer Week 2018 are open RIGHT NOW!
Anyone wishing to run an event during the festival, which runs from May 12-20, 2018, has untilmidnight on Tuesday 31 October, 2017 to submit their ideas and dazzle the Good Beer Week committee with their brilliance and ingenuity!
For the 2018 festival, we want to see unique, exciting events that go beyond the beer bubble and prove that good beer deserves a place everywhere! So, as in previous years, we're looking for the best, most creative, innovative, eye-catching and entertaining beer events ever seen.
If you want to get involved, but don't know where to start, take a look at the 2017 program and see how yours can stand out from the crowd!
The festival committee fully expects to receive a record number of applications, so for the 2018 festival we will be curating the festival and only accepting a certain number of events into the four streams, consisting of Beer Geek, Good Times, Foodie, and Beer Lover.
To ensure your event makes the cut, provide as much information as you can at this early stage, and get creative in your description. Has this event been in the Good Beer Week program before, and if so, why should it be again? What makes it unique? What makes it good value for attendees? How are you making it different from similar events, or the same event from previous years?
The more of these questions you can answer, the more likely your event will make the cut!
HOW IT WORKS
As in 2017, the festival program will be split into four streams to ensure it offers broad appeal, and to help attendees find their perfect event.
Boatrocker will also be joining us as our education partner once again, presenting Boatrocker Beer School. If you wish to get involved with an education session for either consumers or industry, contact us during October to discuss opportunities.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSIONS BEYOND THE OCTOBER 31 DEADLINE
Putting together a fantastic program requires a long lead time and we expect to be overwhelmed with applications. Chopping late or insufficient submissions will help us keep numbers down!
Once your event has been approved by the Good Beer Week committee in November, you have until January 31 to finalise your details.
If your event is not approved, the team will contact you to discuss how your event could be improved. If your event is unsuccessful, you will be refunded the registration fee minus a 10% administration fee.
Payment must be made in full by October 31 to be presented to the Good Beer Week Committee for consideration in the program.
Please note we will only accept credit card payments this year. Please contact us during October if you need to process via an alternative payment arrangement.
GOOD BEER WEEK BUMPER MARKETING PACK
For the 2018 festival, you will again have the option to upgrade your event registration to the Bumper Pack, which includes additional marketing benefits for your event. If you opt to take up this offer, you will have extended access to Good Beer Week's marketing channels in the lead up to the festival. See the last page of the Event Guidelines for further details.
